Introduction
This subgroup has been set up as part of the Thames Valley Regional Network in order to work in partnership with the LSC on the development of the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS). To ensure that all providers are aware of the role of the NAS and are working towards the increased targets that have been set for this group. The Network Business Support Managers will play a key role in the implementation of activities developed by this group

Key Aims and Objectives
1.   Raise awareness and understanding, throughout the Network, of the importance of NAS and the potential business opportunities this affords for real growth for individual Providers and the Network as a whole.
2.   Produce a high level strategic Development Plan, with clear measures of attainment, to bring about the required step-change to achieve a significant increase in Apprenticeship starts without loss of quality.
3.   To develop activity in conjunction with the Network Business Support Managers.
4.   To work towards the following targets across the TV Network:
a. Increase Apprenticeship participation by X% above 2008/9 actuals.
b. To increase the number of new employer engagements by X.
